Oasis is a soul quencher for the thirsty
Oasis is a soul quencher for the thirsty. It provides an outlet to buy, donate, and also a variety of little shops that are a hidden gem in Cape Town.
They bake the best shortbread and chocolate biscuits, and believe me, you need to try it to believe it. I travel far to get there, and it increases my endorphins, and in psychology it’s moments like these that make life worth living and provide self-gratification.
The staff are so friendly, address you by name, and are very helpful. The book store, furniture store, gallery, clothing store, bric-a-brac, gems and items from all over the world, as far as France and Italy, will keep you there for a while.
You can design your wardrobe and home, hence the name being so apt. The tea garden provides hot sandwiches and other delicacies on the menu, and the smell of freshly baked bread and other bakery items wafting through their kitchen is a game changer.
You don’t have to be poor and needy to go there — I am a medical professional and love this place. It’s a piece of heaven on earth. Take a moment to go there and you will not regret it.
Browsing is also soul food. Enjoy the experience and share the good news… we are fortunate to have a hidden oasis.
Drink from its nectar.
