Securing the future care for adults with intellectual disabilities is often a daunting task for their family members. Our two Group Homes in Ruyterwacht and Kenwyn, provide a caring home environment for 44 adults with intellectual disabilities.
These Group Homes enable us to provide safe and supervised group living accommodation for intellectually disabled persons, who are 18 or older, and would like to live independently. We also provide accommodation for those with no fixed accommodation, and those with difficult home circumstances.
Our Group Homes provide a homely, family environment with access to social work and primary health care services. At our Group Homes residents are able to enjoy their own hobbies and activities of interest, participate in chores, and are also taken on social outings. All residents are employed within the various Oasis workshops.
To be considered for admission, potential residents should be able to work in the protective workshops and be capable of helping themselves with minimal supervision.
