We are deeply grateful to all who play such a generous role in changing lives. The support is really humbling. Just one book donated can feed a child for a week,” says Gail Bester, Executive Director of the Oasis Association.

Our sustainability relies heavily on our ability to generate our own income through trading. Our shops and bakeries generate a significant portion of our income and provide work opportunities for our beneficiaries.

There are many benefits of donating to, or shopping at, a charity shop.  When you donate, your preloved, throwaway items gets repurposed and re-loved. Every item finds a new home, instead of going to the dump. (which has an environmental impact too!)

Shopping at charity shops is a treasure-hunters dream, where you get to discover unexpected, affordable, hidden gems.

All proceeds from the shop go back to supporting Oasis and our beneficiaries. So, every cent you spend on your pre-loved item makes a difference in someones life. A difference you can see and experience when you visit our shops.

Donate to our shops

Please keep the following in mind when donating or shopping:

  • Donate goods in working order and in a sellable condition
  • Books, clothing, and bric-a-brac are always needed
  • When buying clothes, double check the sizing and don’t be afraid to try on
  • Wash all clothing bought from a charity shop before wearing. And please wash any clothes before donating
  • Keep an open mind when shopping – everything can be re-invented!
  • When browsing, please put things back where you found them
  • Please bring your own shopping bags

Moving house?

Scaling down? Emigrating? Moving on?
Our collection service will gladly collect any larger items of furniture in good repair, free of charge, including those awkward pieces of furniture or garden items.

For smaller items, please drop off your pre-loved, unwanted goods at Oasis in Claremont, on the corner of Lee and Imam Haron road.

Decluttering

Donating items that you no longer want, or need is a win-win for all! For you, it means simplifying your life. Being able to declutter and get more organised, especially before a potential house move. It is also intrinsically rewarding.

For us, it assists in sustaining our various projects and initiatives, to further support people with intellectual disabilities.

Contact us

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to know more about our stock, if you want to donate anything for resale, or need help with delivery of larger items, or a larger quantity of items.
