Our Impact

We are proud of all we have achieved, and grateful for the constant support from donors, friends, and partners, without which we couldn’t continue doing what we do!  With their help, we have made a significant impact not only on the lives of our beneficiaries, but also in our surrounding communities through our recycling project.

• We have 566 beneficiaries across all centres:
  • 382 adults in work and developmental opportunities – working in recycling, the bakery, and other projects [link to each area]
  • 85 children with severe or profound intellectual disability in our developmental programme (Oasis Day Centre)
  • 44 residents in group home housing
  • 55 adults with medium to high support needs in our Adult Centres
• We collect recycling from numerous local businesses each month
• We process 70 tons of waste, saving hundreds of cubic metres of landfill each month
• Approximately 250 cars drop off recycling each day not sure
• 56% of our annual income is self-generated pre-COVID
• 80% of our beneficiaries are provided with transport each day
• 30% of our beneficiaries are fed each day
• One Special Olympics Gold Medal
• We have three social workers available for support and counselling
• We have three charity shops, one in Claremont, one in Fish Hoek and one in Elsies River.
